Slick

Slicks are racing tyres which have no tread pattern, used in dry-weather racing.
The tread pattern on a tyre does not directly contribute to grip – its purpose is to clear water away from the road surface. If a tyre is used only in dry-weather conditions, it has no need of a tread pattern.
