Red Bull technical chief Adrian Newey, Nissan's European manufacturing boss Trevor Mann and F1 champion Nigel Mansell have all picked up awards in the New Year honours.

Newey (53) led the team which designed the Red Bull RB6 and RB7 cars which dominated F1 in 2010 and 2011. Newey receives an OBE for services to motorsport.

Mann (50) oversees the manufacturing, purchasing and supply chain functions at Nissan's Sunderland plant and also at Nissan factories in Spain, Russia and in South Africa. Mann receives a CBE for services to business in the north east of England.

Mansell (58) already holds an OBE and now adds an MBE for services to children and young people, in recognition of his charity work.
